Role Summary

The Event Service Associate is responsible for providing superior customer service and upholding quality standards in the hotel's food and beverage department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as an ambassador for Century Group, greeting guests and making them feel welcome.
  • Serves hotel catering events and provides customer service through routine duties and tasks.
  • Responsible for setting up function rooms according to the Banquet Event Order.
  • Tear down and clean-up of all function rooms.
  • Servicing the hotel breakfast bar, including set-up, maintenance, breakdown, and clean-up.
  • Adheres to quality and industry standards when completing tasks.
  • Stocks supplies and maintains inventory levels to support operations throughout the day.
  • Prepares, stocks, and sets up/puts out food and beverages.
  • Maintains function and meeting rooms, breakfast area, common areas by vacuuming, removing trash, clearing, cleaning, and sanitizing table, kitchen surfaces, storage areas, equipment, staff room.
  • Checks on guest satisfaction and follows up on requests where possible and appropriate.
  • Demonstrates a customer service attitude with internal and external contacts.
  • Ensures the safety and security of the property, the team, and guests when completing tasks.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Serving it Right certificate is required.
  • Hepatitis A vaccination is mandatory.
  • Previous banquet experience is an asset.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position, including lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $55,000 per year
