Collingwood General and Marine Hospital (CGMH) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate Services department, you will play a critical role in driving the execution of our financial strategy and related initiatives.

About the Role

The Financial Manager will be responsible for assessing financial performance and health, identifying risks and mitigation strategies, and leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of all hospital finance and procurement activities. This includes accounting, cash management, audit functions, purchasing, logistics, supply chain, and contract management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial strategies and plans to achieve hospital goals and objectives
  • Manage and analyze financial data to inform business decisions and drive financial performance
  • Lead the procurement function, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate financial risks
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) or actively working towards
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience with financial software and systems, including Meditech EXPANSE
