About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team at Red Star Homes Ltd.

Job Description

This is a full-time, permanent position that involves working on residential construction projects. As a Woodworking Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

You will build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems. Additionally, you will fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong foundation in woodworking and construction principles. You should have 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade, with a focus on residential construction.

You must be physically demanding and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be accurate, have excellent client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, judgement, reliability, and be a team player.

Additionally, you must be willing to relocate for this position and currently legally able to work in Canada.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $55,000 per year, free parking available, and a permanent employment contract.

The work schedule will consist of 35 to 40 hours per week, with overtime required as needed. The language of work is English.
