Mechanical Design Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Technologist - Product Development Specialist to join our team at Sun Glow Window Coverings Products of Canada Ltd. in Ottawa, Ontario.
The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical engineering design, computer-aided design (CAD), and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the Role:- Carry out a variety of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials
- Design and develop tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures using CAD software
- Estimate costs and materials required for projects
- Prepare and interpret engineering design drawings and specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering design and product development
- Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and SolidWorks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
