We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Creative Director to lead our in-house creative team at Canucks Sports & Entertainment. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for developing and executing innovative creative campaigns that position our brands at the forefront of their respective industries.
Key Responsibilities- Developing a Creative Philosophy: Establish a comprehensive in-house creative process that maximizes internal resources, including brief ingestion, resource allocation, conceptual development, and campaign presentation.
- Campaign Ideation: Create compelling campaign ideas, from tagline to manifesto to key art direction, that drive business results and engage our audience.
- Integrated Campaign Development: Design and execute integrated platforms that stretch campaign ideas across multiple channels, including TV, radio, digital, social, in-arena, PR, experiential, and more.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a highly talented staff through structured goal planning, regular meetings, work reviews, and training.
- Creative Department Ambassador: Serve as the ambassador of the creative department on the larger marketing and organizational leadership team, fostering a culture rooted in discipline, respect, excellence, and fun.
- Collaborative Team Environment: Join a team that values creativity, innovation, and teamwork.

- Visual Identity Expertise: Showcase experience conceptualizing visual identity systems and providing strategic art direction.
- Copywriting and Editing Skills: Possess strong background in copywriting and editing, with the ability to teach and elevate our staff.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills, with the ability to optimize a company-wide creative process.
- Cultural Competence: Display a strong understanding of cultural trends and the ability to authentically apply them to our brands.
- Digital Savviness: Showcase proven experience creating content for new media channels.
- Team Leadership Experience: Possess experience leading mid-sized teams (6-10 people) to strong results.
