Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Team Assistant to provide administrative support to our assigned team in their daily activities. As a valued team member, you will play a key role in ensuring that patients receive prompt and effective customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support services to Care Coordinators, including processing new referrals and orders for services, supplies, and equipment.
  • Process and assist in managing confidential patient records, ensuring accurate and timely entry and maintenance of patient data in the electronic database.
  • Answer a high volume of telephone inquiries from patients, families, and service providers, and refer callers as appropriate.
  • Provide back-up support to other positions as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • A college diploma in the health or social services field, or business/office administration preferred.
  • 2+ years' related office experience, with a strong focus on healthcare administration.
  • Accurate keyboarding/data-entry skills, with proficiency in database software, MS Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Advanced multi-tasking skills, with the ability to meet performance and service goals in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and interact tactfully and sensitively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong listening skills.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends to meet organizational needs.
