Job Title: Automotive Service Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Northwest Employment Works. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. Your role will involve working on engine components, transmissions, brakes, and other essential systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose and repair automotive issues using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices.
  2. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
  3. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  4. Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications.
  5. Communicate with customers to explain issues and recommend repairs or maintenance.
  6. Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used.
  7. Stay updated with the latest industry developments and repair techniques.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician or equivalent.
  2. Completion of a formal automotive mechanic training program or apprenticeship is preferred.
  3. Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures.
  4. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
