Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Internal Auditor to join our team. The successful candidate will lead our internal audit function, providing independent assurance and risk management expertise to support our strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a risk-based internal audit plan to ensure effective governance, risk management, and internal control practices.
- Lead a team of audit professionals to conduct audits, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for enhanced risk management and internal control.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and improve overall organizational performance.
- Provide regular reporting to the Audit Committee on audit findings, recommendations, and progress.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors and regulators to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements
- 10-12 years of experience in audit, risk management, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in senior leadership positions.
- Excellent knowledge of internal audit principles, practices, and standards.
- Advanced knowledge of risk management, internal controls, and governance.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation or equivalent.
