Our Mission
We aim to provide exceptional service and support to our members, while promoting health and wellness through our PBC Health Foundation. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Internal Auditor to join our team and contribute to our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a risk-based audit plan to ensure the effectiveness of our governance, risk management, and internal control practices.
- Lead a team of audit professionals to provide independent, objective assurance and improve the effectiveness of our risk management and internal control practices.
- Collaborate with senior management to set the vision and strategy for the Internal Audit function, aligning with industry standards and best practices.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external auditors and regulators to minimize duplication of effort and promote efficiency of assurance work.
- Implement continuous improvement of internal audit processes and methodology to align with industry standards and promote efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- 10-12 years of related experience in audit or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in progressively senior leadership positions.
- Excellent knowledge of internal audit principles and practices.
- Advanced knowledge of the concepts, practices, and techniques of internal auditing, internal controls, and risk management.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a major in Business, Accounting, or an equivalent discipline including or supplemented by courses in leadership/supervision.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation, or equivalent.
