About the Role

Mega City Rental Supplies Inc is seeking a skilled Textile Machine Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of textile machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain textile machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair defects in textile machinery and equipment, and troubleshoot issues to prevent downtime.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that textile machinery and equipment meet our high standards.
  • Training and Development: Coach and instruct apprentices in the installation, maintenance, and repair of textile machinery and equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies to ensure that they are readily available for maintenance and repair.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma in a related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in textile machinery installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Certifications: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of textile machinery and equipment, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to work at heights.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: At heights, noisy, odours, confined spaces, and dusty.
  • Work Setting: Machinery installation, service, repair, machine set-up, and shopwork.
