About Us

PLMS provides laboratory testing across multiple sites, including acute care hospital laboratories and specialty laboratories.

As part of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), we plan, manage, and evaluate specialized health services in collaboration with BC health authorities to deliver equitable and cost-effective healthcare throughout the province. Our values reflect our commitment to excellence: Respect people – Be compassionate – Dare to innovate – Cultivate partnerships – Serve with purpose.

PHSA and PLMS are dedicated to equity in hiring and employment practices. We strive to create a diverse workforce and an inclusive, culturally safe environment. We welcome applications from all individuals, particularly those from historically marginalized groups.

One of PHSA's key priorities is to eliminate Indigenous-specific racism, which includes dismantling barriers to healthcare employment. We encourage Indigenous individuals to apply and seek support from our Indigenous Recruitment & Employee Experience team.

Our initiatives to combat Indigenous-specific anti-racism are rooted in addressing the unique forms of discrimination and marginalization faced by Indigenous peoples, aligning with an Indigenous rights-based approach and upholding legislative obligations and commitments found in foundational documents.
