We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable goods delivery professional to join our team at Standard Machine Works.

About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity for an individual with excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering various items and products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver goods
  • Maintain professionalism in customer service and provide exceptional support to customers
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch and keep accurate records of deliveries
  • Prepare, package, and restock goods as needed
  • Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently
  • Sort packages for delivery and use maps/trip planning aids to optimize routes
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and ensure vehicles are in good working condition
Requirements
  • Class 5/5F/G driver's license (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles)
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
