Pizza Depot is seeking a skilled Cook to join our team As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
About the RoleThis is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to inspect kitchens and food service areas, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and clean kitchen and work areas.
Key Responsibilities- Determine the size of food portions and costs
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
