Job Summary

We are seeking an Early Childhood Assistant who will work closely with our team of educators to develop and implement activities that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development in children. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to establish strong relationships with colleagues and community service providers, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain daycare equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafting to promote creativity and imagination
  • Guide children in developing good habits such as eating, dressing, and using the bathroom
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for meals and rest periods
  • Contribute to maintaining accurate records and submitting written observations on children's progress
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and address any challenges or concerns
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1-2 years of experience working with children in a childcare setting
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Immunization records, Tuberculosis test, and Vulnerable Sector Check
