Insurance Claims Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Claims Adjuster to join our dynamic team at Gallagher. As a Claims Adjuster, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional claims service and advocacy to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Intake and reporting of new claims to insurance companies
- Providing claims counselling to insureds in a professional and compassionate manner
- Advocating on claims behalf with insurers as needed
- Data input using the W5 claims system
- Maintaining, coordinating, and updating client documents
- Leading claim analysis meetings with commercial clients and/or Client Solutions Team
- Collaborating with Loss Control Adjusters to establish or modify existing programs
- Liaising between insured and insurance carrier during settlement negotiations
- Documenting and acting on incoming communication in a timely fashion
- Mentoring new team members and facilitating onboarding within the claims department
- Claims Adjusting experience or Broking including Claims Advocacy CIP designation an asset or courses completed towards designation
- Prior Commercial Insurance and/or Claims experience required
- Comprehensive and effective verbal/written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task between a variety of tasks, projects, and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Experience with an electronic filing system an asset
