Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Family Lawyer with a strong background in Civil Litigation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of current experience in British Columbia family law and/or civil litigation practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage family law and civil litigation files independently.
  • Handle a wide range of family law matters, including separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division.
  • Conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials.
  • Instruct support staff and receive instructions from clients.
  • Draft pleadings and speak to chamber applications.
  • Negotiate at mediations and appear at trials.
  • Manage all aspects of a file from beginning to end.
  • Experience in general civil litigation is an asset.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of current experience in British Columbia family law and/or civil litigation practice.
  • Ability to handle challenging work and manage files independently.
  • Strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to become part of the community served.
  • Enthusiasm for growing practice and working towards partnership.
Compensation
  • Base salary: $120,000 – $160,000, depending on the year of call and experience.
