Lead Metal Production Team in a Dynamic Environment

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Metal Production Lead to join our team at EVRAZ North America. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, have excellent leadership skills, and are passionate about metal production.

About the Role:

This position involves leading a team of metal production professionals, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating repairs, directing production activities, and enforcing policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and environmental concerns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate repairs and direct production activities with the Maintenance department
  • Supervise unionized employees, including communication, planning, training, coaching, performance management, and issuing discipline
  • Enforce safety processes, procedures, and protocols to ensure a safe work environment
  • Assist the safety team in investigations and oversee emergency evacuations
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, inputting employee time, completing reports, and compiling data
Requirements:
  • Strong leadership abilities and previous experience leading teams in a unionized environment
  • Ability to work rotating day/night shifts, including extended workdays, weekends, and statutory holidays
  • High school diploma required; metallurgy and chemistry background an asset
  • Competent in MS Office programs: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Organizational skills and effective multi-tasking ability

Salary Range:

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
