Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and providing personalized financial guidance? We are seeking a highly skilled Investment & Retirement Specialist to join our team at The Canada Life Assurance Company.

We are committed to improving the well-being of Canadians, and as a key member of our Investment & Retirement Solutions team, you will play a critical role in managing relationships with customers who need assistance with their accounts or are considering withdrawing their assets.

Your primary objective will be to address customer concerns, provide sound investment advice, and ultimately persuade them to maintain their financial engagement with our organization. To achieve this, you will:

  • Provide personalized retirement and investment guidance to group plan members, empowering them to make informed decisions about their portfolios and circumstances.
  • Proactively engage with clients who are considering withdrawing their assets, understanding their concerns and providing tailored financial solutions to address their needs.
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients' financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment preferences to deliver customized advice and guidance.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client experience and loyalty by offering value-added services, customized solutions, and personalized planning.

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • A valid life insurance license (LLQP) or willingness to work towards obtaining it within three months of hire.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is required to effectively communicate with French and English-speaking customers across Canada.
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Professional certifications such as CFA or CFP would be advantageous.
  • At least 2 years of industry experience in financial services or a related field, with a focus on sales, service, or loyalty retention.
  • Very strong knowledge of pension, savings, and investment products and services.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills to effectively engage with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence clients, presenting compelling arguments and solutions to retain their assets.

We offer a competitive salary range of $54,300-$95,200 annually, which includes base salary only. This does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation package.
