We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our implementation team, you will be responsible for managing software implementations, configurations, and migrations for our clients.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage assigned projects, including scope, budget, risk, resources, plan/timeline, internal communications, and external client communications.
2. Determine staffing needs for projects and coordinate assignment of staff to projects, including working with subcontractors and partners.
3. Prepare services contracts with other departments.
4. Ensure timely escalation procedures for prompt problem resolution on projects.
5. Participate in knowledge-sharing activities and contribute to our company's knowledge-base.
6. Maintain an understanding of our solutions and architectures, including competitive analysis, and build strong ties with corporate resources.
7. Collaborate with pre-sales to qualify solution sales opportunities and provide project plans for use in proposals.
8. Provide client presentations regarding methodologies, value proposition, and project management processes.
9. Identify new business opportunities through existing client contacts and leverage these relationships to grow our business.
10. Contribute to consulting group processes and procedures.
11. Participate in review of PMO processes and develop/contribute material to PMO as assigned.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 3 years experience in software installation, integration, configuration, and/or development.
2. Consulting experience with external clients in competitive situations.
3. Broad knowledge and experience in various technologies, platforms, and environments, including RDBMS, operating systems, client-server environments, connectivity issues, monitoring tools, security practices, BEA Weblogic, Websphere, J2EE, web development, metadata management, XML, Business Intelligence, Decision Support Systems, reporting tools, OLAP reporting, and more.
4. Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing projects or leading technical teams.
5. Bachelor's Degree (minimum), preferably in Business or Computer Science.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
7. Ability to travel when necessary (limited – no more than 25%).
