Cybersecurity Engineer for Automotive Systems

We partner with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in the aerospace, automotive, defense, and rail sectors to achieve Functional Safety (ISO 26262, DO-178C, DO-254, ARP-4761, ARP-4754, EN50128) and cybersecurity certifications (DO-326A, ISO 21434, UN-R155).
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Automotive SPICE Cybersecurity Engineer to provide training, deployment plans, coaching, and expertise services to companies regarding cyber security standards applicable to their domain, such as ISO 21434 for automotive or IEC 62443 for Industrial Automation and Control Systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop cybersecurity frameworks and management systems, aligning with UN R155 requirements.
- Coach automotive system & software development teams to enhance quality targets and process/methods development.
- Analyze gaps between current development processes and applicable cybersecurity standard requirements.
- Review processes, tools, and methods for QMS and ASPICE compliance.
- Conduct risk analysis using ISO 21434 (TARA), IEC 62443, and propose secure implementations.
- Participate in business development efforts and technical discussions.
- Guide cybersecurity testing activities and contribute to test plan development and execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity or relevant disciplines.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in systems engineering, focusing on automotive, aerospace, medical, or nuclear domains.
- Strong understanding of ASPICE and QMS, with emphasis on Cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of J3061, ISO 21434, IEC 62443, or similar cybersecurity standards.
- Experience in hardware and embedded software development, with a comprehensive understanding of the system picture.
- Familiarity with the entire V development lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, verification, and testing.
- Implementation of cybersecurity solutions in embedded systems, utilizing Secure Hardware Module (HSM), secure boot, secure diagnostics, secure on-board communication, and secure end-to-end architecture.
- Testing systems and software in the context of cybersecurity threats.
Assets:
- Knowledge of security tools like ANSYS Medini and Itemis.
- Experience in Functional Safety and its respective standards, such as ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.
- Project management and productivity skills, including MS Office and Jira.
