About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Care Specialist to join our team at Dentist Worldwide. As a key member of our dental clinic, you will be responsible for providing top-notch oral health care services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation: Contribute to the development of program policies and ensure their effective implementation in our dental clinic.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of dental professionals in a clinical setting, promoting effective teamwork and efficient patient flow.
  • Medical History and Treatment Planning: Obtain complete medical histories, verify and apply medical history as necessary, and refer clients for medical testing when warranted.
  • Oral Examinations and Treatment Planning: Perform comprehensive oral examinations, formulate treatment plans, and inform patients and families of treatment plans and obtain consent for treatment.
  • Dental Treatment and Prosthetics: Perform a range of basic dental treatments, including fillings, dentures, extractions, root canals, and prosthetic appliance fabrication.
  • Emergency Dental Procedures: Perform emergency dental procedures, prescribe antibiotics, and administer local anesthetics.
  • Infection Control and X-Ray Services: Monitor and perform universal precaution procedures for infection control and operate dental x-ray machines.
  • Patient Education and Conflict Resolution: Educate patients on oral health and resolve conflicts with staff, clients, and the public when necessary.
  • Program Knowledge and Referrals: Maintain knowledge of and provide treatment under correct programs, refer patients to appropriate dental practices, and mentor dental students.
  • Clinic Maintenance and Safety: Ensure the clinic is properly equipped and maintained, meets safety requirements, and is prepared for medical emergencies.
Requirements
  • Graduate Degree in Dentistry: Possess a graduate degree in dentistry from a recognized university and be eligible for a license from the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
  • Extensive Dental Experience: Have extensive experience working in a dental office, preferably in removable prosthetics and pediatric dentistry.
  • Public Health Knowledge: Have knowledge of Public Health dental programs and be able to work cooperatively with staff, clients, and parents in a community clinic.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to facilitate innovation and build a solid team environment.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in a second language, such as Chinese (Mandarin), Tamil, Hindi, Urdu, Korean, Russian, or Spanish, is desirable.
