Job Summary

Xcel Construction Limited is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain electrical systems, including underground wiring and cables, surface mount and/or overhead cables, and power generation systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, including ground faults and circuit integrity issues.
  • Design and construct electrical systems, including single-phase and multiphase services, and low-voltage systems.
  • Supervise and instruct apprentices and other workers on electrical systems and safety procedures.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs to ensure electrical systems are functioning properly and efficiently.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications related to electrical systems.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
