Job Description

At BMO, we are seeking a skilled Wealth Planning Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our wealth management team, you will be responsible for providing expert financial planning advice to high net worth and ultra high net worth clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans for clients, taking into account their unique goals, risk tolerance, and financial situation.
  • Collaborate with investment advisors to deliver a client-focused wealth planning experience, culminating in a documented wealth strategy.
  • Provide expert guidance on advanced financial planning concepts, including tax, estate, and succession planning.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their financial objectives and develop tailored solutions to help them achieve their goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring that clients receive the most effective and compliant financial planning advice.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, investment advisors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of wealth planning services.
  • Contribute to the growth and retention of client assets by providing proactive, integrated, and customized advice.
  • Participate in the development of strategic plans and initiatives to drive business growth and improve client outcomes.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial planning or a related field.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study.
  • Experience in selling to investment advisors or high net worth clients.
  • CFP designation (IQPF in Quebec) or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional client service.

BMO offers a competitive salary range of $63,500.00 - $117,600.00, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
