About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Naval Architect Engineer to join our team at J.D. Irving, Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing naval architecture projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development of technical studies, drawings, and 3D models for naval architecture projects
  • Assist with report writing and equipment selection for marine engineering projects
  • Participate in engineering change proposals and systems integration projects
  • Develop 3D models of ship equipment and compartment arrangements
  • Conduct quality control of drawings and engineering analysis, including finite element analysis
  • Participate in vessel surveys, lift-offs, and ship visits
Requirements
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor of Naval Architecture Engineering program
  • Less than 2 years of experience in naval architecture or marine engineering
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and interest in Rhino or other 3D modeling software
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and strong interpersonal and organizational skills
