Job Title: Content Management Systems Specialist

Job Summary:

Manitoba Hydro is seeking a highly skilled Content Management Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing Content Management systems to meet the Corporation's objectives for security, availability, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Content Management systems infrastructure, including web application servers and other web-related software and services.
  • Provide technical assistance and consulting services to client departments using Content Management software and other supporting applications.
  • Participate in planning the future direction of the Corporation's Content Management system infrastructure.
  • Perform research and development on new technologies, software, and services related to document management and collaboration.
  • Perform patch management and system upgrades to Content Management infrastructure and applications.
  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing system status, usage, and performance, as well as testing and implementing configuration changes and performance tuning.
  • Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and correcting problems related to Content Management systems and applications.
  • Responsible for NERC compliance requirements as they relate to the corporate Content Management infrastructure.
  • Maintain a state-of-the-art knowledge of computer hardware, software, and services related to Content Management systems.
  • Perform day-to-day system management functions.
  • Provide back-up support for other support specialists in the group.
  • Must be prepared to come in to work at any time during a 24-hour period to assure system reliability.
  • On a scheduled rotating basis, provide 24/7 standby support for Content Management infrastructure and applications.
  • Provide technical presentations and demonstrations to the user community of any infrastructure or software supported by Content Management Systems.

Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from a university of recognized standing plus a minimum of three years related IT Support experience of which at least two years must be in a system software support role.
  • A two-year diploma in Computer/Information Technology from an institute of recognized standing plus a minimum of five years related IT Support experience of which at least three years must be in a system software support role.
  • Experience supporting Document Management Systems.
  • Experience with web-based collaboration tools would be an asset.
  • Experience supporting Physical Access Control and Video Management Systems is an asset.
  • Knowledge of document management lifecycle principles.
  • Able to troubleshoot complex software problems using established problem-solving techniques.
  • Experience in supporting and managing large application server and database environments.
  • Experience with system security and access systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to keep up to date with current technology.
  • Experience providing client support with a proven ability to perform problem-solving duties and follow-up.
  • Capable of clear, concise oral and written communications to deliver technical material to people at all levels.

Salary Range:

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $37.94-$52.52 Hourly, $72,703.54-$100,638.98 Annually.
