Senior Process Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Process Development Engineer to join our nano fabrication process development team at Authentix.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will contribute to the development and optimization of processes to improve production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of new and existing products. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work closely with other scientists and engineers to set up process experiments, support quality control standards, and assess and optimize process-chain workflows.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, support, and execute experiments to test and optimize nano/microfabrication processes.
- Resolve technical process issues with critical thinking, innovation, and data-driven analysis, while mitigating delay and process waste.
- Prepare detailed reports on scale-up activities and complete documentation such as standard operating procedures (SOPs) and product gate reviews.
- Deliver timely reports on the development progress and quality control.
- Learn and develop micro and nano-fabrication processes to meet production requirements.
- Ensure all materials are filed following agreed conventions and are easily accessible to stakeholders.
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering, photonics, or a similar technical field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in working in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on new product integration and/or production.
- Analysis of experimental data to identify improvement opportunities; root cause analysis; characterization (optical microscopy, spectrophotometry); familiar with ISO standards and quality assurance methods.
- Motivated, self-driven professional with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines while working on multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of roll-to-roll printing and coating techniques (flexo, gravure, offset, slot-die).
- Thin-film deposition (thermal, e-beam, sputtering deposition).
- Familiar with UV curable coatings and inks.
The work is performed primarily in a standard manufacturing environment. Employees may work under the conditions of regular interdepartmental interaction and pressure to meet various deadlines.
The physical demands of this job require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a manufacturing setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods of time; must be able to hear and verbally communicate in order to exchange information in person or over the phone; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement; to occasionally travel to other locations using various modes of private or commercial transportation.
