Job Title: Apprentice Plumber

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Plumber to join our team at Heat Tech Mechanical. As an Apprentice Plumber, you will assist experienced plumbers in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in installing domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Help in repairing domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size
Requirements:
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Efficient interpersonal skills
