Framing Team Lead Job Description

At Michaels, we're looking for a skilled and experienced Framing Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our framing department, you will be responsible for leading a team of framers in creating custom framing solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Coach the Framing Team: Provide guidance and support to your team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality custom framing solutions.
  • Drive Custom Framing Sales: Work with customers to understand their needs and preferences, and use your knowledge of framing products and techniques to create custom solutions that meet their expectations.
  • Assist Customers: Provide excellent customer service by helping customers select the perfect framing solution for their art, and ensuring that their experience is positive and memorable.
  • Manage Inventory and Operations: Oversee the inventory management process, including receiving and stocking framing materials, and ensure that the framing department is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Work with the Store Manager to develop and implement sales strategies that drive revenue growth and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Manage Shrink and Safety Programs: Implement and maintain shrink and safety programs to minimize losses and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in Performance Management: Participate in performance management activities, including coaching, observing, and training team members, and providing feedback and guidance to help them improve their performance.
Requirements:
  • Previous Custom Framing Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in custom framing, with a strong understanding of framing products and techniques.
  • Retail Management Experience: Experience in a retail management role, with a strong understanding of sales strategies and customer service principles.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in a leadership role, with a strong ability to motivate and coach team members.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
Work Environment:

The Framing Team Lead will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a strong ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
