We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic - Experienced (Service Tech IV) to join our team at United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider.
This is an exceptional opportunity for you to showcase your expertise in performing maintenance and repairs of complex equipment with minimal supervision. Our ideal candidate will possess advanced mechanical aptitude, working knowledge of tools, and extensive experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on various rental and customer equipment and tools using high independent judgment.
- When required, traveling to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer-owned equipment; maintaining service vehicle cleanliness and professionalism.
- Assisting in training lower-level technicians as needed.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of work performed through paperwork/electronic documentation.
- Supporting pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
- Other assigned duties.
To be successful in this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with a deep understanding of schematics and diagrams.
- Owning necessary tools applicable to the position.
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Able to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
This Safety Sensitive position requires a strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
