Support Worker for Indigenous Student Success

Responsibilities:
• Provide targeted support to Indigenous students to enhance their academic achievement and overall school experience.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote student success, in collaboration with school staff and the Regional Coordinator of Mikmaw Education/Services.
• Support school principals in initiatives addressing student achievement for Indigenous students.
• Establish and maintain effective communication links with Indigenous students, families, and community members.
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in social sciences or Social Work, or combination of work experience, life skills training, and training in working with students.
• Experience working with Indigenous students and communities, enhancing their strengths and abilities.
• Minimum three years of demonstrated experience providing targeted support to youth.
• Experience with case management and/or record keeping considered an asset.
