About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team at SANTAN ESTATES (NIAGARA) INC. As a key member of our agricultural operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our farm, ensuring the efficient and effective production of crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Crop Production Plans

Develop specific plans to prioritize crop production, taking into account factors such as soil quality, weather conditions, and market demand.

Direct Agricultural Operations

Direct the activities of our farm staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard and that our crops are produced in a safe and sustainable manner.

Manage Farm Resources

Oversee the management of our farm's resources, including equipment, supplies, and personnel.

Monitor and Report on Crop Production

Monitor the progress of our crops and report on any issues or concerns to management.

Collaborate with Other Departments

Work closely with other departments, including sales and marketing, to ensure that our crops are sold and distributed in a timely and efficient manner.

Ensure Compliance with Regulations

Ensure that all aspects of our farm operations comply with relevant regulations and laws.

Requirements
  • Education

College or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field, such as agriculture or horticulture.

Experience

At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a farm or agricultural operations role.

Skills

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of staff.

Language

Fluent in English.

Work Hours

35 hours per week.
