Job Title: Executive Director

Spring Living Retirement Communities is a rapidly growing Canadian senior living owner/operator seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our retirement residence in Ottawa, ON.

Job Summary:

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall operation of the retirement residence, ensuring the well-being and comfort of residents remain of prime importance. This includes overseeing all aspects of operational programs, quality care and services, and fiscal performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of operational programs to ensure they meet Spring Living's expectations for a successful and profitable retirement residence.
  • Ensure quality care and services are provided to residents, monitoring quality of care and services, and reporting, planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating remedial action and improvement plans as required.
  • Develop and implement creative and innovative programs and policies for the recruitment and retention of all categories of Team Members.
  • Assist with the preparation of operating and capital budgets, and receive budget approval from Corporate Office.
  • Implement, evaluate, and control payroll information practices for the residence, ensuring policies are administered fairly and interpreted correctly by all Team Members.
  • Responsible for residence and equipment maintenance, including evaluating plans, organizing, and controlling repair and replacement requirements.
  • Implement corporate sales programs to attract and retain residents.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years' relevant experience in the retirement or hospitality industry.
  • Experience in progressively responsible roles with demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, marketing, and financial planning skills.
  • Graduate of a post-secondary certificate/diploma or degree program in nursing, social work, gerontology, hospitality, or business.
  • Must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 (proof required).
