Labour Relations Strategic Analyst

This position reports to the Manager of Labour Relations Policy and Legislation and is part of the Workplace Policy and Legislation branch. The Labour Relations Senior Policy Analyst will identify labour relations issues, trends and developments that could impact Alberta and Albertans, research and provide policy analysis and advice on labour relations issues, and manage projects related to changes to labour relations policy or legislation. Key responsibilities include:
1. Conducting jurisdictional scans and researching labour relations issues.
2. Providing policy analysis and advice on labour relations issues.
3. Managing projects related to changes to labour relations policy or legislation, including drafting briefing notes and cabinet reports.
The successful candidate will have strong research, analysis and writing skills, as well as excellent communication and time management skills. They will also have the ability to work independently with minimal direction and adapt effectively to sudden changes in direction.
