We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operational Resilience Manager to join our team at Coast Capital. As a key member of our Enterprise and Operational Risk Management team, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of our Operational Resilience and Recovery program.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the Resilience and Recovery Program, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the development of the organization's operational resilience framework, including the identification, inventory, and prioritization of critical business services.
- Liaise with external networks and industry groups to stay up-to-date on current operational resilience practices and regulatory expectations.
- Lead the design and implementation of an enhanced enterprise-wide operational resilience program, including scenario analysis, impact tolerance, and testing.
- Coordinate senior management and stakeholder meetings and working groups as required.
- Establish and coordinate reporting as necessary.
- Work with other risk stakeholders to integrate operational resilience with risk management programs.
- Develop and maintain the Recovery Plan, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Analyze and respond to requests related to resolution planning from internal and external parties.
- Develop effective responses to regulatory bodies regarding the Recovery Plan.
- Guide key stakeholders in the creation and updating of their resiliency plans.
- Monitor and report on industry and regulatory guidance related to resolution planning.
- Undergraduate degree required; CPA preferred. BCP Designation (DRI/BCI) is an asset.
- Risk designation or the desire to complete is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 10+ years of experience developing, implementing, and managing large-scale, cross-functional organizational change initiatives in risk management.
- Experience in managing communication with regulators like OSFI. Experience in Treasury or Finance preferred.
- Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to work with personnel from all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficient in business understanding and risk management concepts related to financial institutions.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Organizational awareness and demonstrated relationship-building skills, with a superior ability to make things happen through positive influence.
- Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to find common ground and viable solutions.
- Sound understanding of risk management principles and regulatory requirements.
- Proven governance, risk, and control experience.
- Strength in influence and relationship management skills.
- Able to consistently deliver high-quality work under pressure, with the ability to act fast, work within tight time frames, and maintain a sense of humor.
