Job Description

Dependable Truck & Tank Limited, a family-operated business founded in 1975, requires a skilled Aluminum Tank Welder/Fabricator to join our team. Our innovative design and engineering concepts enable us to manufacture cargo tanks, trailers, and emergency vehicles to our clients' specifications.

As a custom fabrication shop producing highway petroleum cargo tankers, we require a candidate with previous experience in custom fabrication and at least 2 years of Aluminum MIG welding experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading basic tank drawings, performing Aluminum MIG welding, joining large aluminum sheets, and ensuring the quality of our products through pneumatically testing each tank.

Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret basic tank drawings
  • Perform Aluminum MIG welding
  • Join large aluminum sheets
  • Place and weld bulkheads inside tanks
  • Measure and verify dimensions using a measuring tape
  • Operate a hand plasma torch
  • Grind, groove, and chamfer aluminum components
  • Operate crane hoists and forklifts
  • Engage in confined space work
  • Use machine shop tools such as drill presses and shears
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in custom fabrication and Aluminum MIG welding
  • Ability to read and interpret basic tank drawings
  • Strong understanding of measurements and dimensions
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Confined space work experience
