Accountant-Controller Job Description

Warkentin Investments Ltd is seeking an experienced Accountant-Controller to join our team. As an Accountant-Controller, you will be responsible for managing our company's financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Plan, set up, and administer accounting systems to ensure efficient financial operations.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures, and internal control.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports, including income tax returns from accounting records.
  • Analyze financial documents and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Examine accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits.
  • Oversee payroll administration and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in accounting and financial management.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
