We are seeking an experienced Wood Construction Specialist to join our team at SEA TO SKY PRECISION CONSTRUCTION LTD. As a Wood Construction Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to wood construction, including preparing layouts, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling and joining components.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare Layouts: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Measure and Cut Materials: Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
- Assemble and Join Components: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fabricate and Install Finishing Elements: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
- Maintain and Repair Structures: Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
The ideal candidate will have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the field and no degree, certificate or diploma. We offer a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $50,000 per year, with opportunities for overtime pay. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English. The typical hours of work are 35 to 40 hours per week.
