MRI Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at the Cornwall Community Hospital. As a key member of our Diagnostic Services department, you will be responsible for performing MRI examinations and producing high-quality images according to established protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations on patients, adhering to departmental protocols and safety guidelines
• Produce high-quality images and reports, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
• Participate in quality control procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Develop and maintain strong communication skills, working effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams

Requirements

• Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario in MRI
• Minimum 2 years of technical experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
• Proven knowledge and experience in MRI safety, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Physical demands of the position include lifting over 60 lbs. and standing/walking for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Current registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists
