About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team at Canmark Family Farming Ltd. as a key member of our farm operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animal Handling and Care: Ensure the health and well-being of our swine herd, including monitoring animal behavior, providing veterinary care, and implementing disease prevention measures.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of farm operations, including animal health, production data, and maintenance activities.
  • Work Site Environment: Oversee the safe and efficient operation of our farm, including managing equipment, supplies, and personnel.
  • Work Setting: Collaborate with our team to ensure a safe and productive work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Tasks and Specializations: Develop and implement strategies to improve farm efficiency, productivity, and profitability, with a focus on swine production.
  • Screening Questions: Participate in the recruitment and selection process for new farm staff, ensuring that candidates meet our high standards for animal care and farm operations.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 50 hours per week, with a permanent employment arrangement.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication for this role.
