Joining the Leadership Team

With the upcoming retirement of the current Senior Vice President, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join HighView's vibrant and passionate leadership team. As Vice President of Strategic Acquisitions and Development, you will play a key role in driving the organization's medium- and long-term asset and income growth strategies, with a focus on quality AUM. Reporting to and working closely with the Managing Director, you will help lead the organization and contribute to its continued success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong pipeline of quality investment opportunities by anticipating market trends and building resilient relationships with key brokers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Team to perform in-depth feasibility and underwriting analysis, and create overall investment rationale for internal and external validation.
  • Coordinate the Due Diligence process for all potential acquisitions and divestments, and manage the closing process.
  • Negotiate and prepare all relevant contracts and agreements, including Letters of Intent, Agreements of Purchase and Sale, and Covenant documentation.
  • Oversee and coordinate all design and planning consultants/engineers, and lead the negotiation and preparation of project contracts and agreements.
  • Negotiate with City departments, Regional authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop relationships with capital partners and strategic investors to support management agreements and equity positions for new and existing properties.
  • Negotiate, structure, and execute equity transactions, financing, and technical services agreements.
  • Utilize refinancing experience to evaluate financing proposals, negotiate with lenders, and execute all legal documentation.

The ideal candidate is an experienced real estate professional with a proven track record of accomplishment in land and investment acquisitions, entitlement, and real estate development. You possess strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and project-management skills, with a natural affinity for attention-to-detail, multi-tasking, and achieving multiple goals. Proven management abilities in developing and leading a team, utilizing effective communication, mentoring, and coaching techniques aligned with HighView's values, are essential. You will have a high level of integrity, ethics, and initiative in all business transactions and dealings, with a good knowledge and understanding of industry best practices and relevant laws.

Competitive Compensation and Benefits

In addition to a competitive base salary ($220-250,000), a performance bonus will be offered based on set criteria. There is also the potential for equity participation, contingent on tenure and demonstrated performance.
