Job Description: Sport Program Workshop Facilitator

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sport Program Workshop Facilitator to join our team at Dare to Care. As a facilitator, you will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive and interactive workshops to sport organizations across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver workshops independently to athletes, coaches, and other stakeholders in sport organizations.
  • Work closely with the Sport Program Director to book and deliver workshops throughout the year.
  • Responsible for making travel and accommodation arrangements for workshops.
  • Submit invoices to the Sport Program Director in a timely manner.
  • Complete post-workshop surveys after each delivery.
  • Stay current and relevant in the Safe Sport Movement.
  • Attend monthly facilitator meetings and bi-annual staff/facilitator retreats.

Requirements:

  • A degree or diploma in a sport-related field is preferred.
  • NCCP certification is an asset.
  • Experience in the sport sector, including provincial, national, or university athlete/coach/official experience, is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience in public speaking and conflict management/mental health/community building/bullying prevention is prioritized.
  • Proficiency in English and French is preferred.
  • Ability to present in English and French is a must.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate must be able to travel occasionally and have access to their own transportation for local and out-of-town workshops.

Compensation will be provided for all travel expenses.

Dare to Care is a Calgary-based organization, but we work with sport groups across Canada.
