Physiotherapy Assistant

Halton Healthcare Services is seeking a skilled Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our physiotherapists in their daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist physiotherapists with treatment interventions, patient care, and equipment setup and positioning.
- Provide patients with equipment, adapting it to meet their individual needs with confidence.
- Instruct patients in exercises and equipment use, emphasizing safety and specific precautions.
- Lead group programming as needed, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Maintain supplies and provide departmental support with maintenance of all functions as required.
- Support office staff and physiotherapists with ongoing documentation, chart updates, and filing.
- Participate in promotional activities, community education, program development, and accreditation standards.
- College Diploma/Certificate in Physiotherapist/Physiotherapy Assistant Program.
- Registered Kinesiologists or Exercise Therapists will be considered.
- Experience working in an outpatient setting is an asset.
- Ability to motivate, be empathetic, and client-centered in all interactions with patients.
- Confident in computer use for documentation and communication.
- Initiative, good problem-solving, and observation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact effectively with an interprofessional team.
- Must be flexible and show an ability to work independently and/or collaboratively with all team members.
- Strong organizational abilities with efficient time management skills.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record required.
