About the Role

As an Application Architect, you will be responsible for designing and developing the detailed architecture for our software solutions. You will work closely with our development teams to research and design the best solution for our business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define, design, and develop the detailed architecture for software solutions
  • Collaborate with development teams to research and design solutions
  • Work with enterprise architecture teams to ensure solutions align with Bank's standards and policies
  • Deliver and enhance new and current solutions and applications
  • Be involved in the full life cycle of a project, responsible for producing specifications, writing production quality code, and implementation
  • Set up development environments necessary to build the entire solution
  • Ensure quality of solutions are robust, scalable, and efficient
  • Maintain a sharp focus on system reliability and ensure overall architecture can handle upstream and downstream system failures
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with diverse teams
  • Strong knowledge of applications architecture, systems design, and integration principles
  • Proven understanding of architectural concepts, security, data flow, network, and data architecture
  • Strong technical leadership and analytical skills
  • Triaging and problem-solving incidents to restore services in production
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in IT, with an emphasis on API and Micro-service development
  • Must have technical hands-on experience with open-source development environments, Java Development, and cloud-based applications
  • 7+ years of software development experience, with 3 years as a technical lead providing hands-on architectural design
  • Proficient in programming languages and frameworks: Java, Spring Framework, Nodejs, JavaScript, and Python
  • Excellent knowledge of API design ecosystem: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Swagger, and YAML
  • Experience in developing applications in Micro Service Architecture with technology stack as REST, Spring Boot, Docker
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud-based applications in main public cloud offerings
  • Cloud infrastructure, Docker, Linux OS, distributed Relational/NoSQL/NewSQL datastores
  • Working experience with containerized systems in public cloud
  • Performance engineering techniques
  • Good knowledge of Domain Driven Design and multiple Java frameworks
  • Build, automated integration, and deployment tools such as Maven and Jenkins
  • Experience in delivering code using TDD, CI/CD, Code Analysis and Coverage tools
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies: Angular, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Source Code Management Systems: GIT, Bit Bucket, SVN
  • Proficient with secure development principles, OAuth, infrastructure security
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
