Your Opportunity:
Alberta Health Services is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the majestic Canadian Rockies. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide additional family-focused nursing care in a rural setting.
Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level, and AHS policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
Additional Required Qualifications:
- Current certification for IV management and BGM
- Recent on-site Continuing Care nursing experience with a strong knowledge base
- Must have demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills
- Works well as a team member
- Flexible in adapting to changes in workload and assignment as required
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Meditech
- Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team
