Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing primary family-focused nursing care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care in the respective program
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive nursing services
  • Utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making to ensure patient safety and well-being
  • Teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families
  • Support an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
  • Additional required qualifications: current certification for IV, defibrillation, NRP, and BGM, a minimum of one-year Emergency Room experience, and ability to work in a highly acute, very busy multi-disciplinary setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • ACLS, TNCC, and rural experience
  • Obstetrical knowledge and experience an asset
