Our team works closely with home operator partners to promote resident health, staff education, and medication system quality and efficiency.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Parksville, BC. This is a full-time opportunity with a 40-hour workweek. The successful candidate will have prior experience with Kroll, data entry of new/refill prescriptions, operating a Pac Vision machine, and compounding medications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and in compliance with provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to optimize medication continuity and resident outcomes.
  • Complete daily pharmacy dispensing tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the resident care team and maintain professionalism.
  • Data entry with Kroll and Point Click Care (PCC), Catalyst, and Med e-care.
  • Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring pharmacy inventory.
  • Participate in training and support for newly hired and existing pharmacy team members.
  • Prepare and compound medications as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

  • Current registration and good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT).
  • Proven ability to foster strong partnerships with other members of the healthcare team.
  • Effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and ability to interact with persons of varying levels of professional expertise in a professional and mature manner.
  • Motivated to achieve results that reflect a high standard of quality.
