Job Summary

This position plays a crucial role in supporting research activities within the Mood Disorders Centre at the University of British Columbia. The successful candidate will work closely with the research team to assist with various tasks, including screening and recruiting participants, data entry, and literature reviews.

The Department of Psychiatry is a leading research institution, and this position will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of researchers, clinicians, and students. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, preparing protocol materials, and assisting with the preparation of presentations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screening and recruiting participants for research studies
  • Data entry and maintenance of accurate records
  • Assisting with literature reviews and research protocol development
  • Preparing presentations and other materials as needed
  • Performing other related duties as required

Requirements

  • High school graduation and some additional training in a related field
  • Minimum two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Experience working with clinical populations and research software
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
