Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Science Co-op to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a Data Science Co-op, you will be working closely with product owners, business stakeholders, data scientists, data engineers, and ML engineers to build AI solutions that drive business growth and improve customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the exploration of data science opportunities across RBC Insurance business
  • Conduct exploratory data analytics, preparation, and integration of large and various types of data
  • Document and report advanced analytics and data science experiments
  • Build and productionize AI/ML solutions using enterprise MLOps technologies
Requirements
  • Progress towards a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or relevant fields
  • Familiarity with ML concepts, NLP, and text analytics methods and packages
  • Advanced Python coding skills and hands-on experience with data analysis packages such as Pandas and machine learning packages such as Scikit Learn
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Additional Information

This is a full-time co-op position with 37.5 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for data science and a willingness to learn and grow with our team.
