Electrical Technologist PM Job Description

Agilus is seeking an experienced Electrical Technologist PM to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. As an Electrical Technologist PM, you will be responsible for managing projects from scope development to commissioning and post-project support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project plans, including scope development, proposal, and conceptual design
  • Review and optimize the capacity and lifespan of the plant's electrical equipment
  • Work with the engineering manager to champion improvement plans and allocate capital funds
  • Coordinate project work with other disciplines, such as civil and mechanical teams, or with the terminal's maintenance group
  • Perform complex calculations to verify designs or modifications to the existing electrical infrastructure
  • Analyze costs and track expenditures, verifying invoices and overseeing third-party work quality
  • Administer documents required for approvals, track scope changes, and define new asset additions
Requirements:
  • Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technologist Diploma
  • Medium to high voltage experience
  • Detailed understanding of CSA standards and practice around electrical safety and maintenance
  • Electrical FSR: Class A - Certification – preferred
  • Hands-on experience with power distribution design, motor control, fiber optics, ethernet, and industrial communications instrumentation
  • Previous experience managing projects in an industrial environment with knowledge on conveyance systems, VFDs, and related controls
  • Troubleshooting skills when reviewing electrical line drawings and ability to read schematic diagrams
  • Solid computer skills, with experience using AutoCAD, CMMS, and MS Office suite
