Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the University Hospital of Northern BC. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in an acute clinical setting, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver client-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in an acute clinical setting
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
Requirements
- Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
- Advanced education in an approved enhanced specialty post-anesthetic education course, and two years recent, related clinical experience aligned with unit-specific competencies or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated ability to complete initial and ongoing client assessments (clinical and diagnostic reasoning) and provide nursing care through appropriate/prescribed technical, therapeutic, safety-type interventions
- Ability to promote client-focused care that demonstrates care for and with clients and significant others, sensitive to diverse cultures and preferences, client advocacy and social justice concerns
Benefits
- Estimated salary: $83,500 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
- Comprehensive benefit packages including extended health/dental and a municipal pension plan for part-time and full-time employees
- Four weeks vacation with one year of continuous service
- Financial Support for Moving Expenses is available for eligible positions
